The private building has been named after the municipality in which it is situated, i.e. the Castle of Červený Újezd, and was created in the years of 2001-2002.
The intention was to build in our style a historicizing complex based on traditional craft-based procedures and meeting demands of the present times.
You will see the originals and copies of typical tools, instruments and equipment of the Czech countryside of the last century and the century before last, supplemented with rural painted furniture, traditional craft workshops, a knight’s hall, a tavern with Old Bohemian food and beverages as well as castle antiques in the museum. The new interiors were created by local craftsmen. So if you just like we like dreaming and like history, good food and drink, arrive to convince yourselves of how our intention succeeded.
The complex of the country buildings or the open-air museum, if you wish, is situated in the gardens and is, just like the castle museum, an example of the country life of the past times. You can take a close look at the windmill, bell-tower, granary, small wine cellar, chalet, charcoal pile, or old wood cutter there. Most buildings have accessible interiors with an example of furnishing, tools and equipment typical of them.
