The National Museum (www.nm.cz) – the largest and oldest Czech museum housed in a neo-Renaissance building which dominates the upper end of Wenceslas Square.
Here visitors will find historical collections (prehistory, archaeology, theatre) and natural history (minerals, geology, palaeontology and zoology).
Symphony concerts are regularly held at the National Museum on the magnificent staircase.
The Museum of Music and the Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures are also part of the National Museum.
