Lapidary of the National Museum also contains the fragments of the cathedral of Prague, but it is only a small part of its collections, their composition is much richer. In its present form the collection of the National Museum of Lapidary consists of about two thousand exhibits, of which over four hundred best exhibits are displayed, while others are kept in depositories. In general we can say that they are the evidence of stonemasonry and stone sculptures in the Czech countries, especially in Prague, in the time range of 11th to 19th century, rarely from the early 20th century.
Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque beamed ceilings originated from demolished buildings in Prague create the atmosphere of historical collections in the two largest halls.
The building is wheelchair accessible.
