Svobodné Hamry golf course is one of the most spectacular courses in the Czech Highlands (Zelezne Hory). Set in the rough but beautiful landscape, nearby the open-air museum Veselý kopec, this countryside links style course is 5,958 meters long, par 72 and provides a challenge for golfers of all levels. Visitors are most welcome and are provided with very reasonable rates. Svobodné Hamry is an ideal venue both for social and corporate golfing events. It is our belief that our combination of expertise and friendly hospitality will add to the enjoyment of your game, creating a memorable day for your members.
We are a private club with full bar and catering facilities. Our clubhouse is friendly and relaxed and members are always available to provide advice on weather and playing conditions. This is a beautiful part of the Czech country and an excellent base for a holiday. Landmarks include Veselý kopec, Seč dam, Doubrava River’s deep canyon, Zlatá Louka and Mokřadlo nature reserves, Slatiňany castle and hyppological museum, Zdar nad Sazavou (UNESCO City), Zdar Castle, The pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk on Green Hill, Baroque halls in the chateau of count Kinsky. Course is situated in Zelezne Hory („Iron mountains“). The Zelezne Hory massif gives the impression of a landscape wave sliding down from the Hlinecké hills, Pešava and Hradiště, accompanied by the Chrudimka River. The area widens towards the north. The varied landscape forms a balanced whole. The bedrock is amongst to the richest in the Czech Republic. There are also other places like Devět skal (nine rocks) highest peak in Zdar Peaks (Zdarske vrchy) with the range of peak rocks close to the Milovsky pond. Devet Skal is a protected natural formation with limited mountaineering activity. There are also half a dozen golf courses - all within a 40 mile radius.
