The ruins of a Gothic castle from the 13th century, expanded in the Renaissance by Jiří Harant of Polžice, a a chateau built in the 17th century. In the 19th century it received a pseudo-Gothic makeover. A Baroque granary is on the grounds. The chateau is the birthplace of Kryštof Harant of Polžice a Bezdružice, explorer, writer a composer. An open-air sculpture gallery is located in the area of the castle ruins. The chateau interiors, decorated with stucco a period furnishings, serve as an art gallery of the 19th a 20th centuries.
